HelloWorld.

Joel Kordyak
Co-founder, Vertocol

Your team writes code at the speed of AI. Then the code waits on a review process designed for the speed of paper. Findings come back, rework begins, and the review starts over. Every lap costs more than the last.

For decades, software development moved only as fast as people could write it, and compliance grew up around that pace: reviews, documentation and sign-offs, all at human speed. Better tools made that work more efficient, yet for many teams compliance still trails behind development.

AI changed the pace. With Claude Code or Cursor, a small team can now deliver in weeks what used to take months. In medtech and health IT, that puts real pressure on review processes. As one of our early design partners put it:

“Governance of AI code is a real blind spot for us.”

Teams care about getting compliance right. For small and mid-sized companies, though, most of the options were designed for large enterprises, so the work piles up behind the code generating greater risk.

My co-founder Lawrence Duffin and I have spent over a decade creating regulated software across multiple industries. We’ve lived that gap, and we believe it has to close.

Compliance belongs at the start of development, where it shapes the work instead of being assembled afterward. Safety and speed can coexist, and doing it right shouldn’t require an enterprise budget.

That’s why we started Vertocol. Today, we’re coming out of stealth.

Vertocol maps your product to the regulations that apply, puts expert review behind every mapping, and gives your engineers traceable instructions to use with AI coding tools from day one.

Regulatory experts stay at the center. QuickBooks didn’t replace accountants; it took the manual work off their plate so they could focus on judgment. Vertocol does the same for regulatory experts, so their expertise can move at the pace of AI.

We’re starting with medtech and health IT, alongside a small group of founding design partners. A few spots remain. If you’d like to join, apply to be a design partner.

Hello, world.
